Lucky Has a New Home
The Westchase Seniors gathered at Bennigan’s Restaurant in March
to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and the luck of the Irish.
Everyone had a jolly time and Sharon and Joe Heller (co-hosts of
the party with Nancy and Harlan Dulmage) enjoyed presenting the
Westchase Seniors Group’s good luck charm, Lucky the Leprechaun,
to Lorraine Metz. By tradition, Lucky will live with Lorraine
for a year and bring her much good fortune before moving on to
another lucky Westchase resident in 2009.
Tuesday Morning Coffee Change
“Change” is the operative word here. Burger King will no longer
provide free coffee and snacks to Westchase seniors on Tuesday
mornings. Westchase seniors are still encouraged to come to
Burger King on Tuesday mornings between 9 and 10 a.m. to visit
with your neighbors and friends, but just remember to bring some
“change” to pay for your coffee. Needless to say, we are
disappointed that our coffee on Tuesday mornings is no longer
free, although we do appreciate the fact that Burger King
provided Westchase seniors free coffee and pastries for their
first seven years at the Sheldon Road location.
Put Life in Your Years
If you are a Westchase resident over 55-years-old and still
kicking, join the Westchase Seniors Group and add some life to
your years. To receive e-mails about Westchase Seniors Group
events, send your name, address and phone number to
westchase-seniors@juno.com
or call Lewis and Rama Patterson (926-5473). It only costs a
smile to join and the dues are just as cheap.
